Renée's 9-year-old son, Milla, was born a healthy and happy little girl. She loved to play with cars and trucks and get dressed up as Spider-Man and the Ninja Turtles. But what was thought to be just a phase was actually something much more than that. At the age of 6, Milla began to fall into depression, saying she wanted to be a boy.

She didn't just want to dress like a boy, but she felt she was a boy and was just born in the wrong body. In a video Milla's mum posted on her Facebook page, she asks for friends, family and the wider community to support her son as he transitions. The video has since received more than 3.5 million views and is a wonderful reminder that with support and love, anything is possible.

Milla was diagnosed with gender dysphoria, whereby her brain doesn't align with her gender. If left untreated, gender dysphoria can cause "clinically significant distress or impairment in social functioning or other important areas of functioning," reported the Medical Journal of Australia.

But thanks to her family and the video her mum posted on Facebook calling for support, Milla has the backing of a wider community.

"Hello, my friends and family," Fabish says in the video. "I'd love you to watch this slideshow I put together. It explains some major changes that are underway for Milla and our family. Milla needs our support now more than ever!" Take a look at the video and don't forget the tissues, because this one is a tearjerker.
