Say what? Ryan Reynolds says his daughter's name isn't Violet

Blake Lively is keeping tight-lipped on her newborn baby girl, but luckily her husband is (sort of) spilling the beans.

The couple's daughter was born six weeks ago and reports soon surfaced saying their daughter was named Violet, however the actor insists that is not the case. While being interviewed while promoting a new film, USA Today "snuck in" a baby name question.

His response?

"No that's not the name. I don't want to get into that but I don't know where that came from," he said, declining to reveal what her name actually is.

We know where it came from. A hospital worker from the Westchester Medical Center where Lively gave birth tweeted, "Congrats @blakelively #blakelively glad to have you and baby girl violet in our care."

The worker then deleted the tweet and wrote, "I think I'm in trouble." It was a little too late, as news spread that the name was Violet. Neither Reynolds nor Lively disputed that rumor, putting even more fuel on the fire that her name was indeed Violet.

So, now that we know what her name is not Violet, what could it be? Lively has amazing style, so we are pretty confident it will be a cute name. I mean, how spot-on was her maternity style?

OK, here is what we do know about the name.

They don't want anything too "Hollywood-y," Reynolds told journalists back in October. "I don't want a name that's anything pretentious or, like, Hollywood-y. So I'm going with Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds... that's if it's a girl."

It could be a southern baby name. The couple loves the South (and even got married in South Carolina) and reportedly wanted the name Carolina for a girl or Charleston for a boy — so the name Carolina is back on the table.

Lively hasn't posted any photos of baby Violet... er, Excalibur Carolina (can we call her that?), however she did post a photo as she met with girls in a PBS documentary about sex trafficking. She also thanked "everyone for the well wishes in this special time."

Even though Reynolds is keeping annoyingly tight-lipped about the baby name, he did say that they don't have a nanny and the baby is up every 45 minutes.

"I don't sleep very much. It's great. It's wonderful. But my brain is elsewhere," he said. "It's still so new that it's hard to conceive being away for more than seven hours at a time. I had to go to Sundance this last week. I was more excited to get a good night's sleep. It was borderline pornographic for me."

He sounds like a good daddy. Excalibur is one lucky baby girl.
