Send birthday cards to Danny
Young Danny Nickerson, who lives in Foxboro, Massachusetts, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor last October after telling his mom that he had double vision. Since then, he has been forced to stop going to school as he undergoes aggressive treatment, and as a result, he's become lonely.

His mom says that he can now recognize his own name, and he adores getting letters and cards with his name on them. His sixth birthday is coming up on July 25, and his one birthday wish? Birthday cards.
His parents have set up a post office box for Danny and given him his own key, so he can experience the delight of opening it up and grabbing the cards himself.
Cards pouring in
So far, thousands of cards have poured in for the little boy and his family, and from the photos his parents are posting on his Facebook support page, he's enjoying every single one. Helping him out with his birthday wish will undoubtedly brighten his days.
The SheKnows team put together a few cards for Danny. Will you join us in wishing him a happy birthday? Cards can be sent to:

Danny's specific tumor, a cancer called DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), is unfortunately highly resistant to chemotherapy. It's reported that less than 10 percent of affected children will live 18 months after diagnosis. Danny's parents became concerned when his vision changed, and after an overnight visit at a hospital, their world turned upside as the diagnosis came in. Danny has undergone 33 radiation treatments since December and is currently getting chemo every two weeks.
While his prognosis isn't what his mom and dad had hoped for, they remain hopeful and optimistic, and they say every day with their little boy is a blessing.
