Birds nest craft | Sheknows.com

Supplies:

  • Paper bowl
  • Brown paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Brown construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Blue pom-poms
  • Blue feathers
  • Black construction paper
  • Yellow construction paper
  • Hole punch
  • Glue

Directions:

  1. Paint the paper bowl with the brown craft paint and set it aside to dry.
  2. While the paint dries, cut very narrow strips of paper from the brown construction paper. Crumple up the thin strips of paper and fill the paper bowl with them.
  3. To make 1 bird, cut off the tips of 2 feathers and glue them to the underside of the pom-pom.
  4. Use a hole punch to cut out 2 holes from the black construction paper. Glue the black dots to the top of the pom-pom.
  5. Create the beak by cutting a small square from a piece of yellow construction paper. Fold the square in half from corner to corner, then glue it to the pom-pom along the fold.
  6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for any additional birds, then place the birds in the nest on top of the brown construction paper.
