Cate Blanchett already has three boys: Roman,10, Ignatius, 6 and Dashiell, 13, and now she has a baby girl.
The Cinderella star's publicist confirmed the adoption news in a statement. "The Upton family [Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton] have adopted a baby girl. No further details will be provided."
Shortly before the news broke, 45-year-old Blanchett was spotted by a passenger at the Sydney airport toting a baby. "Just getting on a flight at LAX and #cateblanchett is on board. With a tiny baby," @smackedgob tweeted, before sharing the photo of Blanchett holding a tiny baby in her arms.

Australian Women's Weekly is reporting that her daughter's name is Vivienne. This is a pretty name of French origin that means "lively." Vivienne is quite the popular baby girl name among the Hollywood crowd, as Angelina Jolie and Ali Larter also have daughters with the same name. Country singer Jessie James has a daughter with the same name, only spelled Vivianne, while Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady have a Vivian.
The Oscar winner opened up to the Times Online in 2010 about her attitude on making movies and balancing motherhood.
"I've had to say no to things because I was pregnant, but then I had a baby, so it didn't seem like a sacrifice. I'm quite fatalistic — if something doesn't happen, then something else will," she said.
The Blue Jasmine star wanted to expand her brood, as she told InStyle that she wanted more children.
"I'd love to have more children," she said. "Just when, I don't know. But the thing is, we hadn't planned any of the others. They just popped out. So you shouldn't overplan these things. If it happens, it would be great."
