Lesbian pregnancy announcement
Pregnancy announcements back in the day used to be nothing more than a simple "I'm pregnant!" or, for the more ambitious, a traditional announcement sent through the mail. Now moms-to-be are planning elaborate surprise announcements, perfect for video, or are cooking up funny or clever photo announcements to share on social media. Some parents-to-be even cleverly disguise their announcements by creating dazzling home movies in which they act out a screenplay they've written, only to reveal at the end — hey, we're pregnant!
Many of the ideas have been done time and time again (and some say overdone), but a pregnancy announcement is always a happy thing to read. However, a lesbian couple pulled together a pretty cute way to announce their impending family member. A Reddit user called MeggoEggo1 posted a photo of her wife clutching her belly and wearing an "I'm pregnant" shirt. The surprise ending? While sporting a shocked expression, her own shirt says, "I'm not the father."
Aside from the typical questions about how they decided who would carry the baby, the photo, which was posted just a few days ago, has gotten a ton of positive responses (and if you're curious, MeggoEggo1 wrote, "My wife has dated men before me so she always assumed she'd have a baby biologically. I had no interest. So it just worked out that way.").
Applause for this cute couple and their quirky shirts. I love that they did this.
