While your kids were busy sledding and writing letters to Santa, one group of kids out of Elba, New York, were planning to kill their fourth grade teacher because she was mean to them. The teacher, who is allergic to antibacterial products, had banned items like hand sanitizers from the classroom. According to a report from WGRZ.com, a group of kids in the class planned to spread hand sanitizer on items the teacher frequently uses in order to kill her. One of the students was told of the plan and informed their parent, who is a school board member, who then informed the police.
The report, provided by the Genesee County Sheriff's Department in the above link, said, "the suspects made comments to other students that they were going to kill [the teacher] by putting antibacterial products around the classroom."
Youth officers interviewed the suspected students with their parents and school officials present.
One student stated that her teacher "yells at us and that the class has problems with her."
I'm alarmed kids this young are so evil they can come up with a plan like this, and their parents have obviously not taught them that they will meet many mean people in life and they just can't plan to kill all these mean people. Sure, kids mouth off all the time and speak without thinking but it just seems so creepy to me they discussed doing this with items they knew would harm their teacher. The sheriff's office has turned this matter over to school officials who are working with parents to resolve this issue and they plan on using this incident as a vehicle for educating the district's students regarding appropriate behaviors. I'd say they can start with reminding these little darlings that plotting to kill people isn't appropriate behavior.
