Play Doh slammed for super inappropriate-looking accessory (PHOTOS)

Maybe a little phallic? Okay, a LOT phallic?

You're not alone. Scores of parents whose children got the Play Doh Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain play set for the holidays noticed the frosting applicator bore a certain penile resemblance.

Children's toys that accidentally look like penises? Hilarious! Did no one at Play Doh notice this? Was it a Disney-esque subversion added in by some disgruntled designer? Or have the brains at Hasbro just forgotten about basic anatomy? It's even ribbed for your pleasure! Geez it's bad.

But gleefully sophomoric as it is, these are still kids' toys we're talking about, and you can't really blame a parent for not wanting their dear ones to be pumping modeling clay out of a tiny plastic dildo. If the kids aren't scarred by that, surely the parents would be.

Plenty of people had a field day posting pics of their penis cake decorators on the Play Doh Facebook page along with complaints and the few odd "this ruined my Christmas!" comments (really?!).

That's all well and good, but according to some commenters Play Doh tried to do some damage control by deleting comments -- most likely the ones with pictures attached.

We get it. It looks like a penis, guys! But as a brand, you never want to appear to be silencing criticism. Luckily Hasbro offered a statement to KTUL on the future of the no-longer-innocent Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain play set:

"We have heard some consumer feedback about the extruder tool in the Play-Doh Cake Mountain Play Set and are in the process of updating all future Play-Doh products with a different tool.

Extruder! Heh.

Okay, we've had our giggles, but now there are cakes to (non-pornographically) decorate.
