Product description: This recall focuses on Animated Sing-Along Monkey toys from Giggles International. The monkey is brown and beige and stands around 9 inches tall. It comes with (and is designed to hold) a song book titled 5 Little Monkeys. When activated, he sings the song.
The monkey has a few identifying marks. You'll find a red music note on the bottom of the monkey's right foot, and the face of a child with its hands covering its eyes is on the bottom of the monkey's left foot.
They were manufactured between June 7, 2014, and July 5, 2014, and have batch code GP1410028. Both the date and the batch code are printed on the bottom of a white fabric label attached near the base of the monkey's tail.

Where/when they were sold: These recalled toy monkeys were sold exclusively at Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores nationwide from Sept. 2014 to Oct. 2014 for around $25.
Reason for the recall: The battery compartment can reach temperatures up to 230 degrees Fahrenheit, which poses a burn hazard. While there have been two reports of toys overheating, with melting battery compartments, there have been no injuries reported.
What you need to do: Immediately take the monkey away from children, take the batteries out and return it to any Cracker Barrel Old Country Store for a full refund. You can also contact Giggles International directly for a refund.
