Popular baby company Graco is recalling 5 million strollers for one teeny-tiny, possibly disfiguring reason: The hinges on the sides of the strollers could catch little fingers, causing lacerations or amputation.
The recall affects the following models:
- Aspen
- Breeze
- Capri
- Cirrus
- Glider
- Kite
- LiteRider
- Sierra,
- Solara
- Sterling
- TravelMate Model Strollers/Travel Systems
Now, before you go set fire to your finger-munching stroller, Graco is offering free repair kits. Until then, the Consumer Product Safety Commission advises the following: "While waiting for a repair kit, caregivers should exercise extreme care when unfolding the stroller to be certain that the hinges are firmly locked before placing a child in the stroller."
Got it? Keep an eye on those digits. Visit the CPSC recall page for more info on specific model numbers and safety recommendations. To order your repair kit, call Graco Child Products at (800) 345-4109 or visit www.gracobaby.com.
