To get started, you need a table or other surface that has a recessed top so you can put things inside of it. After that, you can go in a variety of different directions with your sensory table. Fill with water for some wet exploring and throw in some small items your child can grab for. These items can be anything, water related or not. You can also add some aqua beads for a more colorful, fun experience.
Another option for your sensory table is to put sand in it. You can purchase safe sand from Kid Safe Sand, which is a website that promotes and sells natural and toxin-free sand for kids to play with. After you have your sand, add any toys your kids may enjoy playing with. Whether that is bulldozers, shovels or animals, the options are endless.
