DIY glass magnets

These adorable magnets will light up Grandma and Grandpa's fridge — especially if you include pictures of all their grandkids along with their names or phrases of love. The Creative Place has step-by-step instructions for this DIY craft that uses just six materials — glass gems about 1 inch or 1.25 inches wide, pictures or vintage images/words, Mod Podge, magnet backing, a foam brush and scissors.

Personalized photo pendants

Ginger at Ginger Snap Crafts makes these professional-looking pendants and you can too with your kids as a beautiful keepsake gift for Grandma. Among the other materials — glass tiles, bails, Diamond Glaze and Super Glue — her tutorial calls for chains to make the pendant into a necklace. However, we think these would make a great gift for Grandpa, too, by simply attaching a key ring to the pendant.
