Around 2.2 million Ace Bayou bean bag chairs are being voluntarily recalled after two child deaths.

Product description: This recall focuses on bean bag chairs made by Ace Bayou Corporation out of New Orleans, Louisiana. Each chair features two zippers that can be unzipped and opened, including one of the exterior cover, and other directly underneath that zipper. These bean bags were sold in a variety of sizes, shapes, colors and fabrics. They include round or L-shaped, vinyl or fabric, and are filled with polystyrene foam beads.

Affected chairs may be purple, violet, blue, red, pink, yellow, Kelly green, black, port, navy, lime, royal blue, turquoise, tangerine or multi-color. The round bean bag chairs were sold in three sizes, 30, 32 and 40 inches in diameter, and the L-shaped bean bag chair measures 18 inches wide by 30 inches deep by 30 inches high.

If you even think you have one of these chairs, look for the words "ACE BAYOU CORP," which is printed on a tag sewn into the bean bag chair's cover seam.

Where/when they were sold: These recalled bean bag chairs were sold at Bon-Ton, Meijer, Pamida, School Specialty, Wayfair and Walmart stores and online at Amazon.com, Meijer.com and Walmart.com before July 2013 for between $30 and $100.

Reason for the recall: Children can unzip the bean bags, crawl inside and choke or suffocate on the chair's foam beads. There have been two deaths reported — a 3-year-old girl from Kentucky and a 13-year-old boy from Texas died due to suffocation after inhaling the beads. Both were found inside the bean bag chairs.

What you need to do: You should immediately check your bean bag chair zippers to see if they can open easily, and if they do, take them away from your children and contact Ace Bayou for a free repair kit. This kit will permanently disable your chair's zippers.

Company information: You can contact Ace Bayou toll free at (855) 751-8151 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. CT Monday through Friday. You can also look online at www.acebayou.com and click on "Recall Information" for more information.
