BabyHome USA is voluntarily recalling the Eat High Chair. No injuries have been reported, but please keep reading if you have this high chair so that you can order the repair kit and make it safe for your baby or toddler.
The Eat High Chair, a finalist in the 2012 SheKnows Parenting Awards, has been recalled by the manufacturer. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, BabyHome USA, Inc. issued a recall for the Eat High Chair.
The following lot numbers are included in the recall:
- BH00301/01-2012
- BH00303/07-2012
- BH00304/09-2012
The problem
While no injuries or accidents have been reported yet, the company recalled 1,100 units because "[t]he front opening between the tray and seat bottom of the high chair can allow a child’s body to pass through and become entrapped at the neck. This poses a strangulation hazard to young children when the child is not harnessed."
What you should do
Stop using the high chair immediately and contact BabyHome USA for a free crotch restraint repair kit.
